Open Source k0rdent Reaches 92 Validated Infrastructure and Software Integrations into the Project’s Ecosystem

Packaged in the Mirantis k0rdent Application Catalog, the integrations speed implementations, simplify operations of cloud-native and AI workloads

CAMPBELL, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#AI—Mirantis, delivering Kubernetes-native infrastructure for AI, today announced the k0rdent Application Catalog has reached 92 validated infrastructure (up from 19 when launched in March) and software integrations that empower platform engineers to accelerate the delivery of cloud-native and AI workloads wherever they need to be deployed.

The integrations are used for deploying Kubernetes clusters with open source k0rdent in data centers and on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, OpenStack, VMware vSphere, as well as other popular software used in Kubernetes deployments for cloud-native AI workloads.

Launched in February, k0rdent has built an ecosystem of partners that include cloud and service providers, as well as popular open source software. k0rdent helps platform engineers manage infrastructure sprawl and operational complexity across infrastructure, simplifying maintenance across cloud service providers and on-premises infrastructure with declarative automation, centralized policy enforcement, and production-ready templates optimized for modern workloads. k0rdent leverages the open source Cluster API so that Kubernetes clusters can be created – and existing clusters can be managed – anywhere.

“As AI workload requirements transform enterprise IT requirements, we need to be able to support rapid innovation change in a sustainable way,” said Shaun O’Meara, chief technology officer, Mirantis. “By eliminating operational silos through unified management and orchestration and providing choice through a growing list of critical integrations, k0rdent is helping to reduce infrastructure costs. This enables users to compose their infrastructure tailored to their requirements.”

The growing catalog of integrations and templates is continuously updated to ensure platform teams have access to the latest tools and technologies for managing cloud-native AI workloads. The catalog includes validated services, and templates to facilitate deployment, and make it easy to integrate complementary technologies into Kubernetes clusters.

Among the most recent additions to the catalog:

  • Calico networking and zero-trust security that provides a simple, GitOps-driven way to deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters across on-premises, public cloud, hybrid or edge;
  • Datadog unified monitoring and analytics that provides observability aggregating metrics, logs, traces, and security data into a single interface for real-time analysis, alerting, and troubleshooting;
  • Dell data storage integration for enterprises operating mixed Dell storage platforms –PowerStore, PowerMax, PowerScale, Unity, PowerFlex – that manages stateful persistent data storage with dynamic provisioning that automatically allocates required storage capacity. Support is provided for advanced storage features, such as replication for disaster recovery and business continuity across clusters and storage systems, as well as observability and monitoring by integrating with Prometheus and Grafana for storage-level insights.

For more information, view the k0rdent Getting Started Docs and software downloads that are available on GitHub. To get added to the catalog, submit the request to GitHub. To see what the partners are saying, go here.
