PANews reported on December 13th, citing CriptoNoticias, that members of the Bolivian Blockchain Association plan to submit a proposal to the president to tokenize gold and other precious metals on the Ethereum network. The proposed tokenization of gold and other precious metals on Ethereum would enable full traceability from mining to national reserves, aiming to curb corruption. The proposed model emulates the approach taken by the Kingdom of Bhutan, which issued a gold token backed by its sovereign reserves on the Solana network in December 2025.
