The universal exchange Bitget has announced the launch of a global stock futures championship with a prize pool of 1,551,000 USDT. The tournament will start on January 23 and last until February 11, 2026.

According to the company, it is set to be Bitget’s largest competitive event to date. As the developers emphasized, the initiative was created to bring together “elite traders,” rising talents, and global communities in one highly competitive space.

The central element of the championship is Team Battle, where cooperation is combined with competition for 940,000 USDT in prizes.

The main pool of 700,000 USDT will be distributed among the top 30 teams, ranked by profit and loss. An additional 200,000 USDT in Early Bird Perks is reserved for the first 10,000 participants who join teams and make qualifying trades between January 26 and 28.

The role of leaders will be recognized with team captain awards worth 40,000 USDT. These will be given to those who were able to unite and lead their teams to victory, company representatives said.

For traders who prefer to play individually, there is a separate PnL challenge. As part of this challenge, USDT 300,000 will be distributed among the top 100 traders from around the world. The developers believe that this allows them to create an “open stage for demonstrating accuracy, timing, and confidence under pressure.”

According to the platform team, the Star Trader Challenge adds an element of influence, with global crypto influencers competing for 101,000 USDT.

The top three leaders will share a prize pool of 100,000 USDT. An additional 1,000 USDT will be allocated to public voting, allowing users to predict and support the future champion, turning viewers into active participants.

The championship ecosystem is complemented by the Challenge Center, which will distribute 100,000 USDT through daily and long-term missions, Bitget also announced. By completing tasks, traders will be able to open Mystery Boxes containing tokenized stocks, vouchers, merchandise, and premium rewards, making every trade part of the big game.

In addition, Bitget has prepared a “welcome airdrop” of 110,000 USDT for newcomers.

All participants will be able to receive a welcome bonus totaling 50,000 USDT upon registration. In addition, new users who have completed registration and achieved a trading volume of at least 100 USDT in stock futures will be eligible for an additional airdrop of 60,000 USDT with guaranteed rewards in the form of tokenized stocks.

The launch of the championship coincides with the peak of the reporting season, turning market volatility into a testing ground for skill, exchange representatives noted.

In their opinion, this is not just a competition, but a new stage in how traders interact with global stock markets through infrastructure focused on the crypto industry. With this debut, Bitget brings stock markets into the rhythm of real-time trading without borders, the developers said.

Shocking OpenVPP Partnership Claim Draws Urgent Scrutiny

The post Shocking OpenVPP Partnership Claim Draws Urgent Scrutiny appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The cryptocurrency world is buzzing with a recent controversy surrounding a bold OpenVPP partnership claim. This week, OpenVPP (OVPP) announced what it presented as a significant collaboration with the U.S. government in the innovative field of energy tokenization. However, this claim quickly drew the sharp eye of on-chain analyst ZachXBT, who highlighted a swift and official rebuttal that has sent ripples through the digital asset community. What Sparked the OpenVPP Partnership Claim Controversy? The core of the issue revolves around OpenVPP’s assertion of a U.S. government partnership. This kind of collaboration would typically be a monumental endorsement for any private cryptocurrency project, especially given the current regulatory climate. Such a partnership could signify a new era of mainstream adoption and legitimacy for energy tokenization initiatives. OpenVPP initially claimed cooperation with the U.S. government. This alleged partnership was said to be in the domain of energy tokenization. The announcement generated considerable interest and discussion online. ZachXBT, known for his diligent on-chain investigations, was quick to flag the development. He brought attention to the fact that U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Commissioner Hester Peirce had directly addressed the OpenVPP partnership claim. Her response, delivered within hours, was unequivocal and starkly contradicted OpenVPP’s narrative. How Did Regulatory Authorities Respond to the OpenVPP Partnership Claim? Commissioner Hester Peirce’s statement was a crucial turning point in this unfolding story. She clearly stated that the SEC, as an agency, does not engage in partnerships with private cryptocurrency projects. This response effectively dismantled the credibility of OpenVPP’s initial announcement regarding their supposed government collaboration. Peirce’s swift clarification underscores a fundamental principle of regulatory bodies: maintaining impartiality and avoiding endorsements of private entities. Her statement serves as a vital reminder to the crypto community about the official stance of government agencies concerning private ventures. Moreover, ZachXBT’s analysis…
