INAEC AVIATION CORP. has been designated by Bell Textron, Inc. as an approved maintenance center (AMC) in the Philippines for the Bell 429 helicopter.
“Bell values the Philippines as a stable and consistent market for our helicopters, and it is essential that our customers have access to reliable, high-quality local support,” Bell Vice-President Chris Schaefer said in a media release on Sunday.
Lopez-led INAEC is an air charter provider offering domestic and international charters, aircraft management and maintenance, medical evacuation, fixed-base operations, and aviation training.
The company has operated and maintained Bell helicopters since 1993, using the Bell 206 JetRanger to support offshore transportation for oil and gas companies. It has also provided maintenance services for Bell 429 helicopters for private owners and general aviation operators in the Philippines.
The Bell 429 is a twin-engine light utility helicopter used for emergency medical services, transport, law enforcement, and utility operations.
“The growth potential of the local aviation industry extends beyond air transport. The Philippines has the technical capability and specialized skills required to operate and maintain modern aircraft. As a Bell 429 AMC, INAEC is well positioned to deliver reliable, high-standard maintenance services for Bell operators across the country,” INAEC President Benjamin R. Lopez said.
The designation expands Bell’s global support network of more than 50 authorized service centers and is INAEC’s seventh in the Asia-Pacific region. Bell currently supports over 1,600 helicopters in Asia, including 70 in the Philippines, 15 of which are Bell 429 helicopters. — Ashley Erika O. Jose
